happy 4th yall.

back to nashville for my long weekend to celebrate the 4th.

last weekend left me with a tummy full of food.

the heineken inspire concert series came through ravenswood.

secret concert. matt & kim. cold war kids. free screen printed tshirts. unlimited free heineken. free food from stations titled; chinatown, little italy & greek town. all in a cool warehouse. good times were had by all.

i did not even find out until now, almost a week later that the event was also upstairs and featured outdoor patios, a heineken history museum and wiis, xboxes and ps3s..

also that weekend i made it out to strawberry fest in long grove and came home with jars of strawberry salsa and strawberry pineapple bbq suace. i also made it to the taste of chicago where i filled my belly with such treats as hibiscus tea sorbet, mashed potato stuffed chocolate cupcakes, crab cake balls, pork filled banana dumplings and quite an assortment of other delicious treats.

now that were finally getting some nice weather.. and topshop seems to know exactly what i want.

okay.. so these last ones arent from topshop.. but they are kinda awesome. in a totally 60s way.

the reasons ive been so absent as of late.

i spend all day, just about every day with these too darlings.

water balloon fights, dino chicken nuggets, football in the rain, filming our own zombie movies... i love my job.
